The Torch Singer

Pen and ink drawing of a 1940's club singer. A torch singer, usually a woman, specializes in singing torch songs which are typically love songs in which the singer laments an unrequited love.

Merizon lived in NYC in the early 1940's which was the time this pen and ink was created.

Signed Armand J. Merizon in the lower right piano structure. A signature he used in the '40's.
