Old Buildings in the West
Unusual pallet of colors in yellows and purples. Old buildings set in a western locale with distant mountains and atmospheric skies. The stark darkness of the doorway and window give the painting a mysterious feeling as well as make for good composition with the somewhat slightly smaller and lighter open window in the building on the left giving balance. Major and minor. This formula can be found over and over in Merizon's work.Signed lower right corner.
