Early Spring on Slaughter House Hill

Slaughter House Hill was a favorite location for painting fodder. Merizon used to spend hours sketching and hiking the area that is southwest of the intersection of Hall and Plymouth in Grand Rapids, MI. It is now residential with a huge water tank looming over the houses. The 19 year old artist signed "Merizon" next to a smaller "Armand" '39, lower right corner.
