The North Wind Blows

A weathered barn beyond a cornfield stubble in the the snow. From at 1971 calendar, the Independent Liberty Life Insurance Company.

The following was included next to the painting:

"I quite literally stumbled across this scene one winter day. It is an actual farm and is still being worked today. The snow and bleak , weather-worn buildings convey the of the cold stillness that winter brings, but the brown stalks, dead though they might be, remind us of the life that was here and that will return again in the spring."
