Steam Engine Waiting at the Depot
Impasto in oil of a small town depot with a steam engine beside it. The clouds were painted over subtle rectangles of blues, whites and pinks. The pronounced pitch of the depot roof is repeated int he sky multiple times. Even the clouds directly above the building and train have bear a resemblance to the shape of the depot. The telephone poles bring the viewers eye up to the clouds to come back and circle around again. Well thought out composition. Signed lower right corner.
