Beethoven strolling along a forest path under a canopy of huge trees. Moonlight streams down from the upper left lighting the composers way as he walks. This painting was sent to Artur Schnabel, the famous Austrian-American pianist and composer as he was bedridden on his death bed due to a heart condition. The artist and the composer were friends. When Schnabel passed away in 1951, Armand Merizon wept.
