Forgotten Path

Figure of older gentleman walking a faint path. Brings to mind Merizons' old  friend and mentor, Chester B. Andrews, or Angel which was his nickname, who lived across the street from the Merizon family home on Bates SE in Grand Rapids, MI. When Armand was a boy he played with Angels' sons but would watch him draw whenever he could. Mr. Andrews was a commercial artist who often worked from home. The two became life long friends and this painting is very much how he looked in his later years.
