Jasper Merizon

Painting of his father, Jasper Merizon. Ond of the first important portraits by Merizon, painted in a Rembrandt technique. Very dark with light coming from within. This painting is heavily varnished which made photographing purposes difficult. It has been photoed at an angle as to reduce the sheen but then distorts the image to a minimal degree.
